Book Review: Percy Jackson Series

I have read hundreds of books but one of my favorite book series is The Percy Jackson's. They are the books of adventure, thrill, a bit inspiration and a world of fantasy. These stories are written by Rick Riordan. There are following books in this series:

1. The Lightning Thief
2. Sea of Monsters
3. The Titan's Curse
4. Battle of Labyrinth
5. The Last Olympian

Characters: Perseus (Percy) Jackson the main character, Annabeth Chase the other main character, Grover Underwood Percy's best friend and Luke who is the main evil character. These are the main characters around who the whole stories revolve but there are tons of minor characters.

Plot: These stories circulate around a boy named Perseus Jackson, nicknamed Percy. He is a dyslexic and is diagnosed with ADHD. In the first book he is 12 and attends Yancy's School for Troubled Kids. He is a bit negative and bitter at this fact but his mother is fully supportive. She tells Percy everything would be alright, its just a matter of time.

He goes a field trip where he encounters a strange creature, who was formerly his math teacher. He gets very confused. Later in his school which was a boarding school, where his exams are going on and it is almost over. On the day of his Latin exam, he has a doubt and asks his favorite teacher Mr.Brunner. It is late night. He discovers his teacher and his best friend, Grover, a weak kid, were talking about him. He is later kicked out of the school.

On the way home with Grover, feeling depressed, encounters a few more strange things. Later, his mother surprises him that only both of them are going to their favorite beach. Percy is happy to spend some time alone with his mother and away from his smelly and wicked stepfather, Gabriel Ugliano, nicknamed Smelly Gabe.  There in the middle of a storm he and his mother quickly escape and meet Grover, except he's without his pants. He is half goat, half boy, a satyr. Percy's mother keeps murmuring about a camp, ignorant to Percy's questions.

Then, when they reach the designated place they encounter a large monster, the Minotaur which is half bull, half man, who is in his underwear. In the process of getting him to camp, Grover gets unconscious and his mother gets kidnapped by the monster. Percy reaches camp in despair after defeating the monster single-handedly without a weapon. He then falls unconscious.

After he wakes up, he learns that the camp is a safe haven for demigods, like him. Demigods are the children of a Greek godly parent and a mortal (normal human) parent. After a series of events Percy learns that his real father is Posiedon, the god of the sea. Percy then gets to know by Chiron the camp activity manager, who is a centuar (half man, half stallion) that Zeus's, the king of gods, master lightning bolt, main weapon is stolen.

Percy goes on an epic adventure with Annabeth who is the daughter of Athena the goddess of arts and craft and Grover. On the way he makes some friends, gets betrayed and makes a whole lot of enemies.
So this was about the first book, The Lightning Thief. The rest of the books also include mainly these three characters who go on the adventures to achieve various things. Some of the books also include other characters. Ultimately, in the last book, that is The Last Olympian, Percy, Annabeth and Grover defeat the evil Titan, Kronos, the titan of time and kind of titans.

I think these books should be must read because of the thrill, adventure, funniness, touch of inspirations and other things.
