Here is one of my favourite thoughts.
Today's thought:

'Old friends are gold, new friends are diamond. To hold a diamond, you need a base of gold.'

It means: Anyone who gets new friends shouldn't forget their old friends. Even though your new friends might be better, you won't be able to keep them if you cast your old friends aside.
