Smile!

Today I am going to review the book Looking for Alaska by John Green.  This book is personally my favorite John Green book and I would reccomend this book to everyone. This book is narrated by Miles Halter, the protagnist, who goes to boarding school 'to seek a Great Perhaps.' At school, he quickly befriends 'the Colonel', who is his roommate. He meets a bunch of new people, some of whom become his friends and the others... well not so much. Miles, or Pudge called by his friends, forms quite close relations with the Colonel, Takumi, Lara and the other protagnist of this book, Alaska. Alaska is a beguilging girl that is mysterious and catches Pudge's eye. The five have the time of their lives, together. Everything's going well until one day........... Alaska dies. This puts the four in quite a shock. Pudge begins to question who Alaska really was and how she died. The others follow Pudge in a shocking journey of who Alaska really was. Here's another thought- one of my all time favorites: "We believe in ordinary acts of bravery - in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another." For those of you who have read 'Divergent' must know that this is the Dauntless motto. For those, who haven't read the book, it's an excellent quote from an amazing book, 'Divergent.' As for the reason why I like this quote - It shows that being brave doesn't mean jumping in an ocean full of sharks to save a drowning child. Doing ordinary acts of bravery is just as brave. Moreover, the best kind of ordinary bravery is standing up for another. It requires courage, which not everyone has, but is something everyone can do. This quote proves anyone, even you or I can be brave. So, yeah. This is my favorite quote. Let me know yours down below in the comments.
